Collection done right.A defence on the facts.
Enforcement & Debt Collection
Israel's Enforcement and Collection Authority (Hotza'ah LaPoal) enforces judgments, cheques, promissory notes and agreements. A file managed properly ends in payment. A neglected one can drag on for years.
I represent creditors who want to collect what they are owed, and debtors who want to settle fairly, protect their salary and account, and avoid unnecessary restrictions.

Chapter IV
Questions
Questions on enforcement
01What can be enforced through the Enforcement Office?
Judgments and decisions, cheques and promissory notes, and in some cases claims for a fixed sum. Each runs on a slightly different track.
02My bank account has been frozen. What now?
First, check whether the money in the account can be seized at all. Some allowances, for example, are protected. In parallel you can apply to reduce the lien, propose a settlement, or look at a defence to the debt itself.
03How long do I have to oppose enforcement of a promissory note?
The deadline is set in the regulations, it is short, and it runs from the day you were served. If you received a warning on a note, contact me right away.
04Can several enforcement files be consolidated?
Yes. A debtor with several files can apply to consolidate them and pay a single monthly amount according to their means. Where the debts are high, insolvency proceedings are worth considering too.
05Is interest charged on the debt?
A debt in enforcement carries linkage and interest under the law, and sometimes contractual interest. A wrong interest calculation is a common reason for appeals, on both sides.
